Robert Schnietz, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in general and surgical dermatology. He has special interests in the management and treatment of skin cancer, acne, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis. He finds dermatology to be very rewarding as it can have a huge impact on his patients’ health and self-esteem. Dr. Schnietz prides himself on being accessible to his patients and practicing with their best interests in mind.
Dr. Schnietz attended medical school at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He then trained in dermatology at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois where he was involved in various clinical trials for the treatment of psoriasis, eczema, and alopecia areata. In his final year of residency, Dr. Schnietz served as the Chief Resident in Dermatology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Schnietz grew up in Edwardsville, Illinois and is excited to be returning to the Metro East area to provide his patients with the highest level of dermatologic care.
